This database contains the bibliographic records of publications with notated music published in Spain since 2002, the date on which the Spanish ISMN Agency, responsible for its management, was established in our country.
The data are provided by the publishers when filling out and sending the ISMN application form to the Agency.
An ISMN application is not required, but it is advisable as it provides a general overview of the musical scores, methods and other pedagogical materials published in Spain. Their data are part of the National Statistics Plan as indicators of the musical activity
Apart from publications made available during the year, the publisher can assign a number to the rest of the musical works which are part of its collection, providing the date of publication and bibliographic data on the corresponding print run.
